The integration of one journey is the preparation for the next one

In this talk Emma explains how the integration of one journey is the preparation for the next one. She combines scientific knowledge with her personal experience. She will also explore how Sufism supported her integration process, how ancient mystical wisdom can enrich psychedelic integration, and how to distinguish genuine spiritual growth from spiritual bypassing—a common pitfall in which spirituality is used to avoid confronting difficult emotions and unresolved psychological wounds.
Over six months, Emma participated in ten intense ayahuasca ceremonies, discovering that integration was one of the most essential parts of her healing process.
Today, she also supports others in their healing journeys, particularly Iranians affected by war and collective trauma.

About the speaker:
Emma Rahimi is an Iranian psychologist who studied Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience in Italy. Her main study is the importance of preparation and integration in maximizing the therapeutic potential of psychedelic experiences.
Driven by her interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy, she traveled to Brazil to study ayahuasca under the supervision of an experienced psychiatrist and ayahuasca researcher. Sharing a deep interest in Sufism and Iranian mysticism, they engaged in fascinating conversations exploring the connections between ayahuasca experiences and ancient Persian mystical traditions.
Shortly before her departure, war broke out in Iran, deeply affecting her family and personal life. What began as an academic traineeship unexpectedly became a profound personal healing journey.
